Residential Home Inspections:

In order to be a licensed home inspector in the state of Louisiana one needs to complete quite a bit of training. First the inspector must complete 90 hours of classroom (or approved online schooling) covering various information pertaining to the many aspects of each system that makes up a home.

After the initial 90 hours is complete the national home inspection test needs to be passed. After passing the test you then must have complete a thirty hour platform training (in-field continued education) and follow along with an approved field trainer for a minimum of ten inspections. Once all requirements have been met, the inspector must obtain Errors & Omissions insurance before they are eligible to be licensed. Once licensed home inspectors in Louisiana are required to receive a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education every year.

All licensed Louisiana home inspectors are issued a number (LHI Lic# 10868) and it should be present in any marketing material that the inspector utilizes.

Do not do business with an 'inspector' that cannot provide you with their license number and proof of current Errors & Omissions insurance!

Home inspections are trained on all the parts of a home!!
We inspect all of these items in every home we inspect!
